Sprinkles is a half-height ranunculus which flourishes at relatively cool temperatures. This is a magnificent sight in a pot by the front door or on the terrace, in early spring, just when the last frost has gone. That’s a warm welcome!

Often referred to as the rose of the spring, ranunculus is one of the most popular cut flowers we grow. These tender bloomers need extra protection from cold temperatures, but if carefully tended, they will produce an abundance of lush, textural blooms throughout the second half of spring. Ranunculus are cool season flowers that grow best in spring-like temperatures of about 55°F. In warm climates (zones 8-10), the corms are planted in the fall so they bloom in late winter or early spring. Plant ranunculus in beds and borders, cutting gardens and containers.
